EN: The station of Köniz is located on the route Bern-Schwarzenburg, which was opened in 1907. The station building dates back to the founding period. It consists of a single-storey main building with a half-hipped roof, large dormers and a covered wooden canopy on the track side. Next to it stands a wooden goods shed. The ground floor has been modernized and contains a travel center of the BLS.

The company Bern-Schwarzenburg-Bahn merged with the Gürbetalbahn in 1944 and today, after further mergers, belongs to the BLS AG. Köniz is a stop on the S6 line that runs every half hour between Bern and Schwarzenburg. The station is also a stop of five bus lines connecting the center of Köniz with the outskirts of the town and neighboring communities.

DE: Der Bahnhof von Köniz liegt an der Strecke Bern-Schwarzenburg, die 1907 eröffnet wurde. Das Bahnhofsgebäude stammt noch aus der Gründungszeit. Es besteht aus einem einstöckigen Hauptgebäude mit Krüppelwalmdach, grossen Dachgauben und einem gedeckten hölzernen Vordach auf der Gleisseite. Daneben steht noch ein hölzerner Güterschuppen. Das Erdgeschoss ist modernisiert worden und enthält ein Reisezentrum der BLS.

Die Gesellschaft Bern-Schwarzenburg-Bahn fusionierte 1944 mit der Gürbetalbahn und gehört nach weiteren Fusionen heute zur BLS AG. Köniz ist eine Haltestelle auf der Linie S6, die im Halbstundentakt zwischen Bern und Schwarzenburg verkehrt. Daneben halten beim Bahnhof noch fünf Buslinien, die das Zentrum von Köniz mit den Aussenbezirken des Orts und Nachbargemeinden verbinden.
