I found this sign while walking around to the nearby CITO Event. The National Parks map shows, and numbers the Camping Sites in the Bonnie Vale Camping Area. I had hoped and planned to be camping here myself, but a meeting at Taree meant that I left too late for the last ferry over to Bundeena from Cronulla. So with a much smaller backpack I stopped and checked it out.
Apart from the tooth-shaped return track through the area, each of the allocated camping sites are shown. "Reservation is essential in this campground, and Camping Fees apply. Vehicle Day Pass is $12 (in addition to camping fees.) For online reservation and fee paymenet go to: www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/bookings or call 1300PARKS (1300 042 757) 9 am to 5pm, 7 days a week. The Park closes and gates locked at 8:30 pm daily."
Remember: Camping Permit is Required; these are Unpowered Sited - even for caravans; these a nice Walk to Maianbar, from the western end of the Park; No Domestic Pets are allowed; No Fires permitted; and, No Generators. Quiet Time is from 10am to 6am.
Even though there is no Scale, or Legend to the map, it is still a fairly easy map to follow.
