[DE] "Die katholische Kirche St. Johannes in Hatzenport, einer Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Mayen-Koblenz (Rheinland-Pfalz), wurde im 13. Jahrhundert errichtet.
Der älteste Teil der Kirche St. Johannes, inmitten des alten Friedhofs über dem Dorf gelegen, ist der Glockenturm aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Das spätgotische Langhaus und der Chor sind um 1480 entstanden. Der Westturm zeigt einen achtflächigen spitzen Helm und vier kleine Nebenhelme, die mit BleiKrabben und Bleikreuzblumen geschmückt sind. Der Kirchenbau besteht aus einem saalartigen Langhaus mit flacher Decke und einem kleinen Chor. Daran ist eine Sakristei angebaut. Der viereckige Chor und die Sakristei sind von einem achtseitigen Spitzhelm überwölbt.
Im nördlichen Teil des Langhauses befindet sich noch ein Fenster mit Glasmalereien aus der Entstehungszeit des Langhauses. Dieses Fenster war von Konrad von Bolanden, dem Herrn über die Burg Bischofstein, gestiftet worden. Die restlichen Fenster stammen aus den Jahren 1847/48. Im östlichen Langhaus befinden sich zwei barocke Seitenaltäre. Der Hauptaltar ist aus der Renovierungszeit von 1847/48. Die spätgotischen Holzplastiken des hl. Johannes, einer Pietà sowie eines Kruzifixes sind sehr wertvoll."

[EN] "The Catholic Church of St. John in Hatzenport, a local community in the district of Mayen-Koblenz (Rhineland-Palatinate), was built in the 13th century.
The oldest part of the church St. Johannes, situated in the middle of the old cemetery above the village, is the bell tower from the 13th century. The late Gothic nave and choir were built around 1480. The west tower has an octagonal pointed helmet and four small side helmets decorated with lead crabs and lead crossflowers. The church building consists of a hall-like nave with a flat ceiling and a small choir. A sacristy is attached to it. The square choir and the sacristy are vaulted by an octagonal pointed helmet.
In the northern part of the nave there is another window with stained glass from the time the nave was built. This window was donated by Konrad von Bolanden, Lord of Bischofstein Castle. The remaining windows date from 1847/48. In the eastern nave there are two baroque side altars. The main altar is from the renovation period of 1847/48. The late Gothic wooden sculptures of St. John, a Pietà and a crucifix are very valuable".
