"In 1998, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Journées du Patrimoine, the stamp commission of La (beglian) Poste will issue on July 6th a series of twelve postage stamps, one of which will be dedicated to the Cistercian abbey of Villers.

This is the eighth presale since its creation and two stamps related to the abbey had already been issued: one, devoted to the Ruins in 1982, another to St. Bernard in 1990. One regret: this special stamp would have was released two years ago, on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the founding of the abbey."
