"Le court métrage fantastique "Sanctuary's Battle" a été réalisé pendant quelques nuits dans l'église en ruines de l'abbaye de Villers. Il a été projeté lors du 30ème festival du BIFFF ( Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival).

Le film est doté du synopsis suivant :' Il y a très longtemps, Lucifer était un ange de Dieu. Parce qu’il ne partageait pas les idées du Créateur, il fut banni du paradis et envoyé en enfer. Mais il a trouvé un moyen de pénétrer sur Terre et d’y vivre caché. Il est désormais en quête d’une clé capable d’ouvrir les portes de l’enfer et de créer ainsi un couloir entre la terre des hommes et les abîmes infernales. C’est dans cette optique qu’il envoie ses deux filles et ses meilleurs combattants rechercher une clé cachée, enterrée parmi les hommes...'

La scène se déroule dans la croisée du transept de l'église abbatiale, dans la direction de sa nef et son ancienne entrée principale. Le combat entre les filles de Lucifer et les guerriers d'Athéna a été tourné tard en dehors des heures de visite de l'abbaye, facilitant les jeux d'ombre-lumière. 

Sur l'image du film on distingue aussi bien à droite qu'à gauche des piliers et des arcs des dernières travées de la nef. L'éclairage en arrière plan a été installé entre les 2 tours au-dessus du narthex."

"The fantastic short film Sanctuary's Battle was made for a few nights in the ruined church of Villers Abbey. It was screened at the 30th BIFFF festival (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival).

The film has the following synopsis: 'A long time ago, Lucifer was an angel of God. Because he did not share the Creator's ideas, he was banished from heaven and sent to hell. But he found a way to get to Earth and live there hidden. He is now looking for a key to open the gates of hell and thus create a corridor between the land of men and hellish abysses. It is in this perspective that he sends his two daughters and his best fighters to look for a hidden key, buried among the men ... '

The scene takes place in the transept crossing of the abbey church, in the direction of its nave and its former main entrance.
The fight between Lucifer's daughters and Athena's warriors was shot late outside the visiting hours of the abbey, facilitating light-shadow games.

On the image of the film we can see right and left of the pillars and arches of the last bays of the nave. Background lighting was installed between the 2 towers above the narthex. "
