Ballinluig is a small village in Highland Perthshire near the confluence of the rivers Tay and Tummel, four miles south-east of the town of Pitlochry. It lies in the shadow of the A9 road which by-passes it to the west as it heads northwards to the Highlands.

The post office, which also doubles as the village's shop, can be found on the east side of the A827 road as it enters from the south.
