Te Deum laudamus is the opening line from Te Deum (aka Ambrosian Hymn or A Song of the Church) inscribed on the Maughold Parish War Memorial in the Kirk Maughold Churchyard.

The quote appears following the memorial dedication which reads as follows:
"TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
TO PERPETUATE
THE MEMORY OF THE
MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR
1914-1918
TE DEUM LAUDA MUS"

The Britannica.com website give the translation of Te Deum laudamus as:
"God, We Praise You"

Wikipedia however gives:
"Thee, O God, we praise"
