This sign and map can be found in the car park which acts as a starting point for walkers heading to the Bracklinn Falls, around half a mile to the east. The car park lies on the minor Bracklinn Road which snakes its way up the wooded hillside to the north of the Highland Gateway town of Callander in Stirlingshire.
The sign has an old illustration of the falls, along with a photo of the wooden bridge that crosses the gorge and offers the best view of the falls. There is also information on red squirrels, red kite, and orange-tip butterflies.
The map covers Callander and the surrounding area and highlights various walking routes, with precedence given to the Bracklinn Falls Circuit of which the sign marks the starting point.
The colour coded walking routes marked are:
1 The Three Bridges (green) 4.5m/moderate.
2 Callander Crags (red) 2.3m/strenuous.
3 The Lower Woods (brown) 1.9m/moderate.
4 Callander Meadows (yellow) 1.1m/easy.
5 Bracklinn Falls Circuit (blue) 1.3m falls, 3.3m loop/moderate.
6 Glacier Trail (white) 2.2m, 2.9m/easy.
