Long Description:
This Caritas Peace Memorial is located in a small garden next to the Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monument is made of stone and has two doves carved in relief and it was placed in 2007 by the Cáritas Portugal.

"Millions of stars for peace" is a campaign that since 2003 the Diocesan Caritas has by the time of Christmas, and that is a commitment to have Peace in the World.
The campaign sells small candles that symbolize the stars with the objective of raising funds to help the most unprotected.
