Located on the banks of the Oleta River and the Intracoastal Waterway, both paved and off-road trails provide excellent recreational opportunities in the urbanized areas of North Miami. The trails wind through areas of lush vegetation along mangrove creeks and tall pines and back to a wading pool where a variety of birds come to feed and rest. Primitive cabins along the trail and a small swimming beach are other amenities within the park. There are 14 miles of off-road trails. There are only three miles of paved trails.
