Anchor is from the steamship Glen Haven which sailed on nearby Skaneateles Lake from 1876 until 1917. The steamer was built by the Skaneateles Railway Company, sometimes referred to as the Skaneateles Steamboat & Transportation Company.
The anchor is on display outside the Fair Haven Historical Society, also know as the Glen Haven Schoolhouse.
