[DE] "Im 8. Jahrhundert stand an der Stelle der Pfarrkirche eine frühmittelalterliche Saalkirche. Zur Zeit der Stadtgründung (1271) wurde die viel größere romanische Kirche erbaut, von der der Turm heute noch steht. Von 1435 bis 1506 entstand die heutige spätgotische Hallenkirche. Diese wurde 1785/86 barockisiert. Bemerkenswert ist der Hochaltar, welcher in Zusammenarbeit zwischen Benedikt Faistenberger und Veit Rabl entstand (1661 - 1663), sowie das Kupferschmied-Grabmal an der Nordseite der Kirche.

[EN] "In the 8th century the parish church was replaced by an early medieval hall church. At the time of the foundation of the town (1271) the much larger Romanesque church was built, of which the tower still stands today. From 1435 to 1506 the present late Gothic hall church was built. It was baroqueised in 1785/86. Remarkable is the high altar, which was built in cooperation between Benedikt Faistenberger and Veit Rabl (1661 - 1663), as well as the coppersmith's tomb on the north side of the church.
