West of this spot, water eventually flows into Lake St Clair. Water in streams to the east will eventually end up in Lake Erie.

The large map display marks the boundary between the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) and the Grand River Conservation Authority. In Ontario, the provincially administered conservation authorities follow the boundaries of the actual watersheds. From the UTRCA web site, the upper watershed of the Thames River, covers 3,421 square kilometres in southwestern Ontario and is home to approximately 539,500 people. The Grand River watershed is the largest watershed in southern Ontario.
