A well-kept churchyard, fairly flat grass between all the memorials and gravestones. A considerable number of older anonymous stones have been re-used as path edging on the main routes through the churchyard.

A pair of gravestones celebrate employees of the Birmingham & Gloucester Railway (built 1840 and absorbed into the Midland Railway in 1846) who died just one day apart in 1840.

Both have old-fashioned engines engraved into the stones and have poems inscribed below the names and dates (see illustrations for the poems).

One is "Sacred to the memory of Thomas Scaife who lost his life at Bromsgrove Station by the explosion of an engine boiler on Tuesday 10th November 1840. He was 28 years of age, highly esteemed by his fellow workmen for hi many amiable qualities, and his death will be long lamented by all those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance."

The other "Sacred to the memory of Joseph Rutherford, late engineer to the Birmingham and Gloucester Railway Company who died November 11th 1840 aged 32 years."
