Tödlicher Unfall in Hürth: Ein 84-jähriger Pedelec-Fahrer ist bei einem Verkehrsunfall ums Leben gekommen.
Wie die Polizei mitteilte, fuhr eine 28-jährige Hürtherin am Samstagabend mit ihrem Fahrzeug die Frechener Straße in Richtung Hürth-Hermülheim, als der verunglückte Hürther in Höhe Stotzheim unvermittelt die Fahrbahn überquerte.
Es kam zum Aufprall, der Radfahrer wurde von der Motorhaube erfasst und nach einer Vollbremsung der Autofahrerin auf die Fahrbahn geschleudert.
Mann verunglückt tödlich – Frechener Straße gesperrt
Der verunglückte Mann wurde mit einem Rettungswagen in die Uniklinik Köln gebracht, wo er aufgrund seiner schweren Verletzungen verstorben ist. Die Autofahrerin erlitt leichte Verletzungen und wurde den Polizeiinformationen zufolge vor Ort von einem Notfallseelsorger betreut.
Für die Dauer der Unfallaufnahme wurde die Frechener Straße zwischen Kölner Straße und Efferner Straße für zweieinhalb Stunden komplett gesperrt. (red)

Fatal accident in Hürth: An 84-year-old pedelec driver died in a traffic accident.
