Mortado
"The Human Water Fountain"
Believe It or Not! Natives in Africa attempted to crucify Mortado, an officer in the German Navy as well as an explorer and big game hunter, but he survived and escaped. For the rest of his life he performed with the Dreamland Circus Sideshow at Coney Island, demonstrating how water gushed from the wounds in his hands and feet.
