[DE] "Der Kitzbüheler Bildhauer Franz Christoph Erler schuf zum 100-Jahr-Jubiläum des Tiroler Freiheitskampfes die Figur des Landesverteidigers. Die Figur befindet sich zwischen der Johann-Nepomuk-Kapelle und dem alten Spital, in dem seit dem Neubau des Krankenhauses das reichhaltige Stadtarchiv untergebracht ist."
Aufgeführt ist das Freiheitskämpferdenkmal in der Liste der denkmalgeschützten Objekte in Kitzbühel: "Das Denkmal für die Landesverteidiger der Koalitionskriege 1796 bis 1809 besteht aus einem mächtigen, aus Felsblöcken zusammengesetzten Sockel mit einer lebensgroßen Bronzefigur eines Tiroler Standschützen geschaffen von Franz Christoph Erler. Am Sockel eine Bronzetafel mit Inschrift."

The Freedom Fighter Monument is listed in the list of listed objects in Kitzbühel: "The monument for the national defenders of the coalition wars from 1796 to 1809 consists of a mighty pedestal composed of boulders with a life-size bronze figure of a Tyrolean marksman created by Franz Christoph Erler. A bronze plaque with an inscription is placed on the pedestal."
