This is one of the thousand cast-iron milestones, built for the millennium, along the National Cycle Route in the United Kingdom. This milestone is on Route 1 which runs up the eastern side of the country and can be found on a minor road in the parish of Lunan between the Angus towns of Arbroath and Montrose on the east coast of Scotland.

The road is the C45 and runs southwards from the village of Ferryden outside Montrose, heading over countryside high above the coastline to the east, before dropping down towards Lunan Bay. Just north of the hamlet of Lunan there is a double-bend where the road crosses the east coast railway line and the milestone can be found here on the westward side of the road.

The milestone is of a similar design to the others and states that it was erected with the help of the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Millennium Commission.
