Een belangrijk onderdeel van de Kop van Goeree is 't Kiekgat, een voormalig zanddepot dat nu bestaat uit poeltjes, rietland en wilgen.
's Winters verblijven er veel eenden, steltlopers en ganzen.
Het gebied is het meest interessant in het voorjaar (rietvogels) en winter (eenden).
Gespotte vogels:
Middelste Zaagbek, Veldleeuwerik, Koperwiek, Cetti's Zanger, Steenloper, Grote Gele Kwikstaart, Oeverpieper, Zilvermeeuw, Pontische Meeuw, Zilvermeeuw, Jan-van-gent, Aalscholver, Kokmeeuw, Grote Mantelmeeuw, Meerkoet, Fuut, Wilde Eend.
