A "Veteran" whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check payable to "The United States of America for an amount up to, and including, his or her life". That is honor! and there are "way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact". / (List of Names) / This Ft. Davis Veterans Memorial is dedicated to all Ft. Davis born veterans per U.S. Census Bureau (CDP) boundaries dated 2014. These 216 Hispanic Veterans were the only ones we could contact families. There are many more, to those we "missed please consider this your honor also".
