Terracotta relief date plaque with bust of Queen Victoria on the former church school, Cornhill, Hemyock.

Built 1897, and is located a short distance fron the parish church of St Mary's. It is now in use as the Parish Rooms, and amongst other groups, is the meeting place for The Hemyock History Group.

The plaque is dated 1897 and bears the legend Reg Victoria Dei Gra Britt. Created in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

Numerous different plaque designs were made. There is a similar one located on the Fisherman's Cottages in Grimsby, Ref. - (visit link)
