The Yorkshire inn is a well-maintained and inviting Bed & Breakfast located on NYS Route 96.
The building traces its roots to 1796 when it was constructed as a farmhouse. As Unionville grew with the arrival of the Erie Canal in 1802, the need for a hotel and stagecoach stop became evident. The farmhouse was converted, and expanded to fulfil that role.
As time passed, the stagecoach gave way to the railroads. The building across the street is a former station on Cornelius Vanderbilt's famous New York Central Lines.
The current Bed and breakfast is run as a family business. It features 4 rooms of varying sizes and décor, all on the first floor. A full breakfast is included.
