At 50th Avenue and 47th Street, the skate park is across that intersection from city hall, a 1907 heritage building which was once the county courthouse.
Judging by the volume of graffiti in the park, it would seem that the youth of Wetaskiwin has spent more time drawing than riding while in the park. While most of it is pedestrian, run of the mill graffiti, some is actually quite good, but not much of it.
This is a standard concrete skate park, doubtless designed by professional skate park designers, with many the usual features, the largest of which is a bowl at the north end. Overall, the park is not terribly complex, probably ranked in the middle of parks we've encountered in terms of cost and features.
The only restrictions noted on the sign board at the park are: no motorized vehicles and no unauthorized structures.
The park is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, weather permitting.
