In front of the First Baptist Church at 404 Emmert in Talihina, a bell is on display, mounted on a metal pipe. There is a rope attached and we assume the bell is rung each Sunday morning.

The Lenox Mission School was located southeast of Talihina, closer to the town of Whitesboro. The mission school was established in 1853 as part of the Presbyterian Church Mission program. This bell was manufactured by the American Bell Foundry in Northville, Michigan. A sign on the mounting pipe indicates that it was donated by Nick & Opal Nicholson.
