Doris Avis Brown was born on 13 March 1912 in Colorado, just prior to World War I. Her family moved to Minneapolis MN, and later she moved to northern Illinois, where she worked in a law firm until 1978. She was an only child, and she never married. She loved to travel. She moved back to her native state of Colorado, and that is where she passed away on 19 April 2015 at the age of 103.
