Located at the SE corner of S. Washington and W. 4th Ave., this bison mural is painted on the garage door on the north side of the business. From a distance the mural appears to be a mosaic, with colored squares forming the bison figure. The bison is on the left, taking up about 2/3 of the 18' width. Most of the bison colors are shades of red and orange. The right side of the mural is painted with shades of blue.
However, getting up close to the mural you will see that it is actually a map of Stillwater! Some of the colored squares are labeled with street names familiar to anyone who drives near campus. The full mural is approximately 18' wide and 6' tall.
