The W. B. Rutledge High School (formerly Red oak High School) is located on N. Main in the town of Red Oak, population 500.
The bell is standing on the wide front porch of the school, mounted on a metal frame. This is a size No.24 bell painted black, with its yoke and wheel. We assume it is the bell from an earlier school building, replaced by this current one in 1950.
