This book is located just inside the visitor center for the lake. The visitor center is managed by the staff of the Tonto National Forest. It overlooks the Roosevelt Lake marina and includes a very nice display of the area's history. Roosevelt Lake was created in 1903 to control the erratic flow of the Salt River and provided water and power to the Phoenix area.
