To this day, the hospital is largely financed by the yields of vineyards, which through centuries of inheritance and legacies have been endowed with the foundation's ownership of the hospice. Once a year, during the Three Glory Days of the Trois Glorieuses, an auction of barrel wine from the Foundation's holdings takes place in the Beaune Hospice. Anyone who cares about his reputation as a wine merchant in France will try to win a barrel. The prices for these barrels are thereby a kind of "social surcharge", but they are also a rough indicator of the quality of a vintage of Burgundy wines for the entire wine trade: If in Beaune high prices are achieved at the Hospiz auction, so the entire Burgundy wine Year expensive. Extensive tasting sessions take place in advance of the barrels, and specialists from all regions of France are invited to rate the new vintage.

The hospice includes locations in the finest districts of the surrounding Côte-d'Or. The property includes many Premier Cru locations and also some Grand Cru locations. The wines bear the names of the respective donors. Particularly well known are the cuvées "Nicolas Rolin" and "Guigone de Salins", respectively Beaune Premier Cru and Corton "Docteur Peste". Recent foundations include the Mazis-Chambertin "Cuvée Madeleine Collignon" and the Clos de la Roche "Cuvée Georges Kriter". There were partly auction prices up to 40,000 euros for a Pièce, which is a wooden barrel with about 228 liters, scored, equivalent to a single bottle price of over 250 euros.
