DESCRIBED BY CITY OF PITTSBURGH PENNSYLVANIA 1958 (WER) THE STATION IS ABOUT 3.0 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TARENTUM AND 3-1/2 MILES NORTHWEST OF NEW KENSINGTON, ON A CONICAL SHAPED KNOLL WHICH IS ABOUT 100 YARDS NORTHWEST OF THE HOME OF MR. BANDI AND IS ON PROPERTY OWNED BY MR. JOE AND HARRY BANDI. TO REACH FROM THE Y.M.C.A., IN TARENTUM, AT THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 28, 7TH STREET AND TOLL BRIDGE ROAD, GO SOUTHEASTERLY ON 7TH STREET AND STATE HIGHWAY 28 FOR 1.9 MILES TO CRAWFORD RUN ROAD ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND FOLLOW THE CRAWFORD RUN ROAD 0.4 MILE TO THE CLARKS PIKE ROAD. TURN LEFT AND FOLLOW THE CLARKS PIKE ROAD 1.0 MILE TO A T-ROAD JUNCTION. TURN LEFT, GO 0.35 MILE TO A SIDE ROAD ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND FOLLOW A GRAVELED ROAD FOR 0.5 MILE TO THE HOME OF MR. BANDI, (BRICK HOUSE ON THE LEFT AND BARN ON THE RIGHT). TURN RIGHT ON A TRACK ROAD, PASSING TO THE RIGHT OF BARN, AND GO NORTHWESTERLY FOR 0.2 MILE TO HIGHEST PART OF KNOLL AND THE STATION. THE STATION MARK IS A BRONZE DISK OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CITY PLANNING, PITTSBURGH, PA. STAMPED 9349, SET IN A CONCRETE BLOCK, 6 INCHES BELOW SURFACE OF GROUND AND ENCLOSED BY A CAST IRON BOX 1 FOOT SQUARE, WITH LID, WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. THE LID ON BOX HAS LETTERING D.P.W. MON SURVEYS ON THE TOP. IT IS AT THE EASTERN EDGE OF SUMMIT OF KNOLL. A STANDARD WITNESS POST WAS SET 3-1/2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF MARK. REFERENCE MARK NO.1, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED BANDI DPW NO 1 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 4 INCHES. IT IS ON THE EAST SLOPE OF HILL ABOUT 3 FEET LOWER THAN STATION MARK. REFERENCE MARK NO.2, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED BANDI DPW NO 2 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 4 INCHES. IT IS ON THE SOUTHWEST RIM OF HILL ABOUT 2 FEET LOWER THAN STATION MARK. AZIMUTH MARK, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED BANDI DPW 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. IT IS 20 FEET WEST OF THE ROAD, 29 FEET NORTH OF DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE TO MOTICSKAS NURSERY, AND 1-1/2 FEET NORTH OF A POWER LINE POLE. A STANDARD WITNESS POST WAS SET 2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF MARK. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH MARK FROM THE BRICK HOME OF MR. BANDI, GO SOUTHERLY ON THE GRAVEL ROAD FOR 0.15 MILE TO DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE TO NURSERY AND AZIMUTH MARK ON THE RIGHT.

TURN LEFT, GO 0.35 MILE SOUTH ON BUTLER LOGAN ROAD TO A SIDE ROAD ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND GO SOUTH ON YUTES RUN ROAD ROAD FOR 0.65 MILE TO FLETCHER LANE AND THE MARK ON THE RIGHT IN THE NORTHEAST ANGLE OF THE INTERSECTION. THE MARK IS 7.3 FEET NORTH OF POWER POLE NUMBERED 103064 WITH A TRANSFORMER.
