Barclays bank closed in 2016 among a rash of branch closures all over the country. After standing empty for months the conversion efforts have removed all outward signs of the building ever being a bank - even holes for cash machines were bricked up.
From the whatpub website:-
"A traditional pub in the centre of the main street, converted in 2017 from a former bank. The 250 year old building conveys a sense of history and atmosphere as one area leads into another into the depths of the pub where the old bank vault door is still to be seen. In winter the open fire keeps the place nice and warm.
Specialising in real ales, there's an impressive array of twelve hand-pulls with beers from Black Country Ales, local and regional breweries, plus two ciders. Bar snacks are available."
