Centerville Cemetery Time Capsule - Time Capsules on Waymarking.com

 

 

There isn't much left of the once bustling town of Centerville, which was once a busy town during the Gold Rush years. Nonetheless, the local cemetery is still lovingly cared for by local volunteers and a time capsule was apparently placed near the entrance in the year 2000. The opening date is stated to be 1,000 years later.

Other points of interest that are worth looking at in what is left at Centerville, are the one room school house and the adjoining museum (only open on weekends).  The historic Honey Run Covered Bridge is also a short drive away and a good spot for a picnic lunch.
