Achrbald Pothole State Park is in the northeastern part of the state of Pennsylvania and actually does have a pothole!

Yes, indeed, there is a pothole! From the park's website (visit link) , the pothole is 38 feet deep and has an elliptical shape. I know that when we visited, the pothole was really hard to see into because it seemed to curve backwards.

The park had some very pretty trails to wander around and, of course, being Pennsylvania, there were lots of rocks!
