293- Second Baptist Church (1201 Main):

Romanesque gabled brick with square bell tower on the west. Originally built in 1840 as a frame Christian church. In 1893 the exterior was brick veneered and the bell tower added. Bell tower has composition shingles (replaced slate) and finial. Gable features decorative corbel table. Sandblasting and inadequate tuckpointing has diminished integrity.
