From the Pennsylvania Americana website https://www.visitpaamericana.com/partner/haunts-hexes-ghost-trail/ :

"William Penn Memorial Fire Tower:The site of a destructive fire, the Fire Tower and adjacent remains of the Mountaintop Hotel have captured the interest of paranormal experts. Photographs taken at this location show images of a young woman and recordings captured a voice calling, “Don’t do that!” Other explorers have heard echoes of big band music and laughter near the Mountaintop Hotel remains. There are reports of a little girl’s giggling echoing inside the tower and the misty form of a woman standing on a lower level of the staircase. And several ear witnesses claim to have heard the muffled sounds of big band-era music and crowd laughter on the site of a long-gone hotel/dance hall adjacent to the present tower."

I visit this tower often, it is a stop on our tour of my city every time someone new comes to town and I can sadly say that I have never felt anything here. But...I always come in daylight, maybe at night it would be different.

Public access?:
There are no restrictions to visiting the outside of this tower.

Visting hours:
The outside of the tower is always open for picture taking, however, entry to the interior is only opened the Third Saturday of each month from 12 - 5.
