This Missouri Conservation Area contains 852 acres of prairie that had never been developed after the area was surveyed in the 19th century. The area is filled with native prairie flowers. There are no specific hiking trails, but you may hike within the conservation area as you please.
Archery hunting is permitted under the state hunting regulations; as well as trapping of fur bearers.
Note: There is a separately managed virgin prairie area on the opposite side of the road. It is not part of the Missouri DNR.
