Standing about 4 metres high, the bell is supported by three metal pipe legs that have diagonal and sectional bracing; with a slight tapering to the top. The sectional bracings may have been used (in days pre-OH&S) to allow a parishioner to climb part-way up and attach with a hook, the bell-pulling rope/cord to the side-arm of the modest-sized bronze bell (possibly only 25 cm diameter, at most 30cm); and to lubricate the ends of the swing-rod as required. The bell bracket is topped with a white-painted metal cross, that probably swings back-and-forth as the bell is rung.
