The local Rotary Club was instrumental in assisting with the vision that became Patriot's Park. Getting on the bandwagon early, they were able to put together a plan of six to seven big ideas. They pared them down to three. The club raised the money to make the park a reality.
The plan included the rose gardens and the brick walkways. A splash pad, in the form of a compass rose, is popular with children in the warmer months. With more than $35,000 raised, a three-part project at the park was placed in motion. The City of Kings Mountain provided resources for the park plan.

The park's amenities include benches, parking, picnic areas with tables, restrooms, walking track. water, feature, and water fountains. It is at 220 S. Railroad Ave, Kings Mountain, NC. Park hours are only during daylight hours.
