The Croft.
An 18th century house
named after Christ Croft,
a wide medieval ditch at
right angles to the street.
Listed building, brick, plain tile roof, brick end stack. Three storeys plus basement, three window range. Entrance door to the left of the range, 6-panel door and fanlight in round-headed case under moulded open-pediment hood on Ionic pilasters, to the right two 6/6 sashes in moulded cases under gauged brick flat arches. First floor three 6/6 sashes as ground floor. Second floor two 3/3 sashes in moulded cases and one blocked opening under gauged brick flat arches. Moulded wood modillion eaves. Twin gabled rear wings, rendered, with plain tile roofs, mullion and transom windows to ground and 1st floors, 3/3 sashes over, all under cambered arches.
