Almost every where you travel in Doylestown, PA, home of the Moravian Tile Works, you will find samples of their handiwork. This little park is no exception. Tucked into a corner of the park and easily missed as it is surrounded by trees, is this little monument. The main part of the monument, the red bird sitting on a branch, is a well known tile from the Moravian Tile Works called Silva Vocat which means "the forest calls". This particular mosaic can be found in several places throughout the town of Doylestown.
Other letters on the monument state "Mosaic Tile & Tree Planting" and then there is a list of names in multicolored tiles. I have not been able to find a reason for this monument.
