Another of quite a few wooden benches on the seaside Esplanade of Brighton Beach. It is of mostly narrow wooden slats, but with one of moderate width, near the top of the backrest, where the Dedication Plaque is inset into the wood. There are four vertical narrow slats below the dedication slat, with a further two narrow slats above, which are at two different angle, effecting a curve. The seat part of the bench has nine narrow slats, and are all held in place by the cast metal seat-ends, which are curved to make it of a comfortable shape and design. The seat is bolted to the concrete pavers of the esplanade.
The cast bronze plaque (with a textured black background) has been inset into the top vertical slat of the backrest, and reads:
LACHLAN GEORGE BROCK McINNES
3.10.1945 - 10.2.2001
Dearly Remembered by Di, Sam & Tricia
& His Grandchildren Locky, Connor,
Brock & Lilly
It has a great view of the Brighton Jetty.
