[FR] C'est une tour cylindrique en pierre de 11 m surmontée par une galerie et une lanterne. Le feu fixe est d'abord rouge puis, en 1906, il passe en vert. Lors de la prolongation de la jetée, début en 1936, il a été remplacé par un feu placé en bout de celle ci.
L'activité du port de Cancale se développe vers 1850. Les marins cancalais affrètent une trentaine de trois mats pour aller pêcher la morue à Terre Neuve.
[EN] This is a cylindrical tower in stone, 11 meters high, with a lantern room and gallery at the top. At first the lamp was red then, in 1906, it was changed to green. When the pier was extended at the beginning of 1936, the lighthouse was replaced with a light at the end of the pier.
Shipping activity developed at Cancale towards 1850. The local seamen chartered around 30 3 masters to fish cod in the waters off Newfoundland.
