Failloubaz was born in Avenches in 1892. He became an orphan in 1902 and inherited a large fortune. He was very passionate about technology. In 1910 he completed his first flight with a machine built by René Grandjean. He was the first who dared to stop and restart the engine while gliding in the air and he completed the first Swiss city to city flight. On 1 October 1910, Failloubaz obtained Swiss pilot's licence number 1. The same day, the first Swiss airport and the first pilot school was inaugurated in Avenches.

He spent all his money in the flight school and airport. In World War I, he failed the medical examination for future military pilots. In 1919, he died on tuberculosis at the age 26.

Le 1er octobre 1910, Failloubaz obtient la licence de pilote suisse numéro 1. Le même jour, le premier aéroport suisse et la première école pilote sont inaugurés à Avenches.

Il a dépensé tout son argent à l'école de pilotage et à l'aéroport. Dans la Première Guerre mondiale, il a échoué à l'examen médical pour les futurs pilotes militaires. En 1919, il mourut tuberculeux à l'âge de 26 ans.
