A grade II listed building.
From the britishlistedbuildings website:-
Parish church. C14 west tower, north aisle probably C16, the rest 1866-7
by G.E. Street in a late C13 style. Sandstone ashlar, plain tile roofs with
coped verges. West tower, 5-bay nave with north and south aisles, north
side chapel and south porch; 2-bay chancel with north vestry and organ chamber.
From the church website:-
The parish church of St Benedict Biscop is a Grade 2 listed building and is a landmark building in the Wombourne Conservation Area. Records show that a church has existed on the present site for more than a thousand years. Restored and rebuilt several times in the intervening period, the present building is constructed of pink sandstone with a plain tiled roof. It was rebuilt to the design of the prominent Victorian architect G. E. Street in 1867, yet still retains a small amount of medieval masonry in the north wall.
