This was a 'No Through Rail-line', branching off from the main western railway of the Lake Cargelligo line at the town of Barmedman, and opened in 1923.

It was mainly used by the agricultural communities, with some passenger service until 1974. It is estimated (by Wiki) that the line carried 80,000 tonnes of grain most years, until being 'moth-balled' in 2004. There is still a turn-table at the end of the line, and tall, square, iron water-tank from the steam-engine days. [Some info from Wikipedia link] The line won't be able to be used until some wash-aways under the line are repaired.
