EN: The tour de Vully is a corner tower of the former city fortification of Avenches.

The tower has a quadrangular floor plan and a hipped roof. The side that faces the city center seems to be a bit smaller than the opposite one. It has no windows, but many arrow slits.

It was built in the 13th century next to a gate then called "Gate of Thieves". I could not find out why the tower was called after Vully, because this village is located in the opposite direction.

La tour a un plan quadrangulaire et un toit en croupe. Le côté qui fait face au centre-ville semble être un peu plus petit que le côté opposé. Il n'y a pas de fenêtres, mais de nombreuses fentes de flèche.

Elle a été construit au 13ème siècle à côté d'une porte alors appelée "Porte des Voleurs". Je n'ai pas pu savoir pourquoi la tour s'appelait Vully, car ce village est situé dans la direction opposée.
