Like its namesake, this 52 foot statue of Jesus with outstretched arms rose from the ashes of the original 62 foot statue in 2012, a scant 2 years after the original was struck by lightning and burnt to its metal frame.
The statue, officially named Lux Mundi (Light of the World) was designed by sculptor Tom Tsuchiya, as a symbol of togetherness.
It is easily viewable from neighbouring I75, especially northbound.
