This small pioneer cemetery is located on Petty Street in Ailsa Craig, Ontario and is the oldest cemetery in the former East Williams Township. There are 9 graves in the cemetery.

PLAQUE TEXT:
"McTAGGART CEMETERY
1831-1895

Godfrey McTaggart was one of the first settlers in Williams in 1831, settling on Lot 11, Concession 4. His son Neil was killed at a house raising the same year and was the first white person buried in Williams Township. His father was buried in 1837 in the same plot. Barbara McCallum, daughter of Godfrey McTaggart, was buried in this cemetery and Neil McTaggart, a grandson, was the last burial in 1895. He was a former school teacher and one of the leading members and the treasurer of McPherson's church for many years. This plaque commemorates all other unmarked and unknown burial sites within the Township of East Williams."
