On hiking trail 6 west of Ahrbrück, close to the "Sechseckhütte" (hexagonal hut), there is the monument to Josef Schäfer.
The improvised memorial stone consists of a slate rock about 50cm high. The inscription was engraved and emphasized in red.
Further information about Josef Schäfer, the monument or its founder cannot be found. However, the monument is listed on hiking maps.
