This building was contructed after the Croghan fire of 1912. The building was first home to a drug store run by Alowishas VerSchneider, also known as Wishy. By the 1940s, the drug store was becoming a soda shop. Since 1995, Wishy's has been the home of Adirondack sized ice cream cones. The soft serve is from Upstate Farms. The big sellers are the cones or cups of over 35 flavors of Perry's hard ice cream.
Ice cream can be enjoyed at the bar inside and away from the weather. In addition to the cones, customers can also order sundaes, floats, milkshakes and old fashioned ice cream sodas. Wishy's is open year round.
